Two Sign up for Newcomer Welcome

Our Newcomer Welcome Session is a one-time orientation that introduces you to our programs and services and provides a personal care plan based on your needs. Newcomer Welcome is mandatory to participate in our support groups and counseling services. At Cancer Support Community Central Ohio, there are no costs to participate so you are free to join as much or as little as you need. Newcomer Welcome is available every Tuesday at Noon or by appointment.

Support is a vital part of any cancer experience. We are here to provide relevant and highly personalized support when and where it’s needed most. Personal care plans are available for newly diagnosed, survivors, families and caregivers.

Who can attend a Newcomer Welcome?

Anyone is free to attend Newcomer Welcome! However, Newcomer Welcome is required to participate in counseling services and support groups.

What kind of counseling is available?

We have individual and family counseling available.

Are your support groups and counseling run by licensed providers?

All of our programs, including support groups, are managed and facilitated by licensed mental health professionals who are specifically trained in Cancer Support Community philosophy, methodology, and administration.

What can I expect at a Newcomer Welcome Session?

Newcome Welcome is an opportunity to get oriented to our community, and learn about the numerous programs and services we offer all at no cost!

 

Additionally, our welcome team will help you create a Personal Care Plan, to help make sure you are making the most of all the available opportunities.


Is there any obligation to attend a particular group?

We welcome participation in any of our programming that is not cancer specific. Ex: Cancer specific support groups and groups designed for caregivers etc.. are restricted to those experiencing the specific diagnosis or group designation. 

Is there a time limit on participation at Cancer Support Community Central Ohio?

There is no time limit on participation. Whether you'd like to attend a group for a few weeks, or continue for the foreseeable future, you're always welcome at Cancer Support Community Central Ohio.
