What We Do

Our programs and services are always provided at no cost to ensure that we do not increase the financial burden of those already coping with life-threatening issues. We serve all people with cancer—any diagnosis, any stage—and their families and caregivers. Our comfortable setting helps people find a sense of community among others with whom they can share, learn and improve their quality of life.

All of our programs, including support groups, are managed and facilitated by licensed mental health professionals who are specifically trained in Cancer Support Community philosophy, methodology and administration. Cancer Support Community provides only programs that are both purposeful and proven to be effective by sound research.

From the President/CEO

Read a special welcome message from Bev Soult, President and CEO of Cancer Support Community Central Ohio.

I feel extraordinarily privileged to work for this great organization. Our Board of Directors, management team, facilitators and volunteers do outstanding work every single day. As a result of the continued generosity of the central Ohio community, not only have we been able to increase our number of programs and services, but we also continue to provide them at no cost. We remain faithful to our mission to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community. Over the next several decades, more people than ever will receive a diagnosis of cancer, and more people than ever will survive cancer. With the foremost goal of improving the lives of patients with cancer and their families, Cancer Support Community will continue to provide psychosocial services and programs to those affected by cancer, patients with cancer, survivors and their families and friends. On behalf of the Cancer Support Community, I thank all the individuals, foundations and corporate funders who provide financial and in-kind support. Thank you for your part now and in the future in ensuring that all people diagnosed with cancer have access to the comprehensive, quality cancer care they deserve. Bev Soult
